In 1992, Shelby Sickles received a bachelors degree from Montclair State University, in the field of Community Health.

She worked for two years in the area of physical therapy which eventually led her to the field of therapeutic massage. She felt she wanted to help people rehabilitate injuries with a more holistic, hands on approach.

In 1994, Shelby received certification in Massage Therapy from Somerset School of Massage Therapy, and is also Nationally Certified.

Her massage background has been extremely beneficial in the successful treatment of the ailment neuromuscular dysfunction.

In 2003, Shelby obtained her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. She studied in China at Yue Yang Hospital and
The Shanghai University of Oriental Medicine in the summer of 2007.

Since graduating from Pacific College, Shelby has continued to study with various masters of
Chinese medicine such as Giovanni Maciocia, Alex Tiberi and currently Sharon Wisenbaum.

“I feel my strength as a practitioner definitely lies in the area of soft tissue and spinal aliments from years of practicing therapeutic massage with physical therapists and my own personal interest in keeping my body strong and pain free. I also really enjoy working with those struggling with addiction whether it be food, drugs, or alcohol. I have been matured by the knowledge I have attained from amazing women in the field of Ob/Gyn and also enjoy working with dysmenorrhea, infertility, and
other aspects of women's health.”

Her main goal is to help guide clients to take part in their own healing process through the use of Chinese medicine, to support mind, body, and spirit.
